The beautiful wooden church is named after the Norwegian town of Vang, where it was built.

In the 19th century, it reached the Karkonosze Mountains and since then has been one of the biggest attractions of Karpacz. Built without the use of nails, it also impresses with its magnificent interior decorations. It is one of the more popular places for weddings, perhaps because it is regarded as a temple of happy marriages. In the cemetery surrounding the Wang temple, you can find, among others, the tombstone of Tadeusz Różewicz.
