The "Pod Łabskim Szczytem" shelter is located in the Karkonosze Mountains, within the Karkonosze National Park, near the hiking trail leading to Szrenica and Śnieżka.

It is situated at an altitude of 1168 meters above sea level and is the oldest PTTK shelter in the Karkonosze. Its history dates back to 1618-1648, when it was established, initially as a shepherd's hut or forest lodge.

Over time, the building was adapted to meet the needs of tourists, creating accommodation options, and after World War II, the shelter was taken over by PTTK, which manages it to this day. Its unique location makes it a base for mountain trips as well as a goal for excursions.

You can reach the shelter via the yellow trail from Szklarska Poręba, the blue trail from the Szklarka waterfall or the black trail from Jagniątków. The shelter is also close to mountain trails, so you can simply walk down from the summit to get there.

The "Pod Łabskim Szczytem" shelter has 38 accommodation places in 1-, 2-, 4-, and 6-bed rooms. It is advisable to book accommodation in advance. The shelter has a kitchen and a cafeteria offering all-day meals. The kitchen and cafeteria serve meals from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The shelter primarily caters to enthusiasts of mountain hikes, and during the winter season, also to those who enjoy winter sports. While staying at the "Pod Łabskim Szczytem" shelter, you can relax, warm up with hot tea, and admire the unique microclimate of the Karkonosze National Park.

Nearby, there are several mountain trails: the green trail to Szrenica and to the "Rozdroże pod Wielkim Szyszakiem", the blue trail to "Ceska budka", as well as the yellow trail to "Śnieżne Kotły".

In addition, the area offers visits to Prince Henryk's castle, the summit "Wysoki Kamień", the Kamieńczyk waterfall, the Podgórna waterfall, and the viewpoint "Złoty Widok".
