Ski Arena Szrenica

Ski Arena Szrenica is the largest ski resort in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains. It is located in Szklarska Poręba on the slopes of Szrenica. The ski slopes in Szklarska Poręba are situated at quite a high altitude, which makes the skiing conditions very similar to those in the Alps.

Ski Arena Szrenica offers as much as 11 km of runs with varying degrees of difficulty, excellently maintained and artificially snowed. Both beginner skiers or snowboarders and experienced athletes will enjoy the ski trails. An advantage of the lifts to Szrenica and the ski runs are also the fantastic views of the Karkonosze Mountains.

Ski Runs - Ski Arena Szrenica (Szklarska Poręba Szrenica)

In the winter season, the Ski Arena Szrenica resort (Szklarska Poręba Szrenica) offers 5 different ski runs:

• Fis – black run, the most difficult of the runs in Szrenica, for experienced winter sports enthusiasts. Length: 2000 m, elevation difference: 510 m, maximum slope: 50%. The run starts just below the peak of Szrenica at an altitude of 1302 m, with 80% of the run snowed artificially.
• Lolobrygida – red run, difficult. Length: 4444 m, elevation difference: 602 m, maximum slope 36%. The run starts below the peak of Szrenica at an altitude of 1310 m, with 100% artificial snow coverage.
• Śnieżynka – red run, difficult. Length: 2080 m, elevation difference: 300 m, maximum slope: 45%. The run starts at a high altitude of 1182 m. The run is 100% artificially snowed.
• Puchatek – blue run, easy, for beginners. Length: 1470 m, elevation difference: 172 m, maximum slope: 27%. The run starts at 880 m. The run is 100% artificially snowed and illuminated, allowing for night skiing.
• Hala Szrenicka – blue run, easy, slalom slope for beginners. Length: 650 m, elevation difference: 120 m, wide slope – from 100 to 200 m. The run starts at 1280 m, guaranteeing beautiful views from the peak. The run is 100% artificially snowed.

Ski Arena Szrenica - cable cars

At the Ski Arena Szrenica resort, 3 modern cable cars with high capacity operate:

• Szrenica 1 cable car – length 1417 m and elevation difference of 174 m. The lower station is at 710 m, the upper – at 884 m (from here, to reach the peak of Szrenica, you need to transfer to the Szrenica 2 cable car). It has two-person chairs and features a high capacity of 1436 people/hour.
• Szrenica 2 cable car – takes tourists to the peak of Szrenica, length 1341 m and elevation difference of 429 m. The capacity of this cable car is 1437 people/hour (two-person chairs). From the upper station at 1310 m, fantastic views of Szklarska Poręba and the Karkonosze peaks open up.
• Karkonosz Express – an express cable car with six-person chairs, length 2393 m and an elevation difference of as much as 508 m. It transports skiers and tourists right to the peak of Szrenica.

Skiers using the Ski Arena Szrenica resort in the season also have at their disposal 5 lifts on Szrenica or leading to individual ski runs:

• Ściana – two-person T-bar ski lift, length: 1390 m, elevation difference: 434 m. The capacity of this lift to Szrenica is as much as 1437 people/hour. The upper station is at 1315 m, and the lower station – at 881 m, right next to the Szrenica I and II cable car stations.
• Świąteczny Kamień – two-person T-bar, length 835 m and high capacity of 1400 people/hour. The elevation difference is 172 m. The upper station is at 1306 m, the lower station – 1138 m.
• Hala Szrenicka I – two-person T-bar, length 636 m and elevation difference of 118 m. Its capacity is 1200 people/hour. The upper station is at 1281 m, the lower – 1163 m.
• Hala Szrenicka II – twin of Hala Szrenicka I, two-person T-bar, length 636 m and elevation difference of 118 m. Capacity: 1200 people/hour.

Baby Lift – one-person tow for children and beginners, length 80 m and elevation difference 17 m. Capacity is 720 people/hour. The upper station is at 729 m, the lower station – 712 m.
