Szrenica, although lower than Śnieżka (1362 m above sea level), certainly rivals it in popularity. It is primarily easily accessible, and due to its proximity to Szklarska Poręba, there is no shortage of entertainment here. The natural features alone determine the attractiveness of this peak.

Most of it is covered with mountain pine, but the summit is an exposed rubble. Lichens thrive here – hikers heading to the summit can see the characteristic yellow-green coating. The alpine climate prevailing here defines the natural character of Szrenica. The average temperature throughout the year does not exceed a few degrees Celsius above zero, but there is a lot of precipitation.

Tourist trips to Szrenica are definitely facilitated by the chairlift. Its lower station is located in Szklarska Poręba, which allows even inexperienced mountain hikers to enjoy the summit's attractions and admire the views.

Of course, it is also possible to reach the mountain on foot. A red trail leads here from Szklarska Poręba – it starts in the town where Jedności Narodowej Street turns into the so-called Droga Czerska. On the way, one can see the Kamieńczyk Waterfall and stop at the Szrenicka Clearing to rest in the mountain hut.

Along the way, characteristic rock formations with charming names like Twarożnik, Końskie Łby, and Trzy Świnki are also worth noting. Hiking this trail takes less than 3 hours for moderately experienced tourists. There is also a second, shorter option – Szrenica can be reached by the green trail starting at the Hut under Łabski Szczyt.

The uniqueness of Szrenica is also highlighted by the distinctive building of the mountain hut located right at the summit. The first facility was built here in the 1920s, but in 1968 it was destroyed by fire. Since the early 1990s, a new hut has been operating that can accommodate up to 90 people. Tourists praise the local cuisine, making it a good place for a longer break during a hike. An additional curiosity is the fact that the University of Wrocław runs a special observatory here to study climate phenomena.

Szrenica is also a great place for skiers. Several slopes start at the upper station of the lift. Ski Arena Szrenica offers many kilometers of trails with snowmaking systems, ideal for downhill skiing. The advantage is the variety of difficulty levels, providing much satisfaction for both beginners and experienced skiers. It is also worth noting the high capacity of the chairlifts and ski lifts, which can handle up to 10,000 people per hour.
