The Śnieżka ski complex is one of the most popular places among skiers in the Karkonosze Mountains. It is a great place for both beginners learning to ski and those looking for advanced slopes.

The ski complex under Śnieżka in Karpacz offers well-prepared ski slopes (including several artificially snowed slopes). It also features high-capacity ski lifts, ensuring comfortable access to winter attractions.

What ski runs does the Karpacz Ski Arena offer to winter sports enthusiasts?

Easy slopes suitable for beginners:

  • Liczykrupa (length 900 m, elevation difference 124 m) – a ski run recommended for learning to ski, suitable for children and beginners. It provides very good skiing conditions and is artificially snowed if needed. The trail is long, wide, and comfortable. Skiers are transported here by the two-seater Liczykrupa chairlift.
  • Jan (length 750 m, elevation difference 102 m) – an easy and wide ski run, ideal for learning and beginners, accessible via a connector from the top station of the Euro lift.
  • Złotówka (length 850 m, elevation difference 142 m) – an easy, wide slope suitable for beginners. Beautifully located with fantastic views, which is a major advantage. The Strzecha Akademicka mountain hut is nearby.
  • Kubuś – a short slope specially designed for children, serving as a "ski kindergarten," located at the lower part of the station.

Intermediate ski slopes:

  • Euro (length 700 m, elevation difference 124 m) – a wide slope, ideal for intermediate skiers, right next to the Euro Poma ski lift. This slope is also connected with the Grosik and Jan lifts and is artificially snowed.
  • Grosik (length 1000 m, elevation difference 243 m) – an interesting and long run for quite advanced skiers, with a significant elevation difference. The Grosik T-bar lift runs alongside the slope, and the slope is also connected to the Złotówka lift.

Advanced slope:

  • Z Kopy (length 1500 m, elevation difference 400 m) – an interesting slope that is challenging due to the elevation difference, but experienced skiers will enjoy it. Skiers and winter tourists can reach the Kopy summit via the Zbyszek lift with four-seater chairs. From the top station, it's also possible to reach the Śnieżka summit via a hiking trail.

Which ski lifts operate in the Śnieżka ski complex during winter? It all depends on the weather, snow conditions, and the possibility of artificial snowmaking on some runs. Here are the most popular lifts at the Karpacz Ski Arena:

  • Zbyszek – a popular cable lift with four-seater chairs. The slope length is 2281 m, with an elevation difference of 530 m. It takes skiers to the top of Kopy, from where the difficult ski run Z Kopy starts. Those interested in further trekking can head to the Dom Śląski mountain hut or even further to the Śnieżka summit.
  • Jan – a Poma lift, 418 m long, located next to the beginner's slope Jan. The lift capacity is 500 people per hour.
  • Liczykrupa – a two-seater chairlift, 924 m in length. The lift capacity is 1400 people per hour. Next to it is the Liczykrupa run for beginners and children.
  • Euro – a Poma ski lift with a 705 m long route. Capacity is 1400 people per hour. A modern T-bar leading to the artificially snowed Euro slope.
  • Grosik – a two-seater T-bar lift with a route length of 863 m. The capacity is 1200 people per hour. Next to it is the Grosik slope for intermediate skiers.
  • Złotówka – a two-seater T-bar lift, 747 m long. The capacity is 1200 people per hour.

Additionally, the ski resort under Śnieżka has a conveyor belt lift designed for children (Kubuś, length 40 m) and conveyor belts Leniuch 1 and Leniuch 2, which transport skiers from the parking lot on Olimpijska Street to the lower station of the Zbyszek lift line.
