The Tyrolean houses were built thanks to King Frederick William III, who decided to give away part of his land for free to build houses for Tyrolean immigrants.

In less than two years 56 houses were built and the new settlement was named in memory of the Austrian Zillerthal valley. The houses are characterized by beautiful wooden balconies with subtle patterns and lush floral flora. The houses are scattered all over Mysłakowice, and one of these houses houses a small museum that tells the story of the arrival of the Tyroleans to the Jeleniogórska Valley.
